Meet the Family Behind Doggin’ Ain’t EZ

We are Wayne and Tequila Ackerman, proud South Carolina natives and the owners of Doggin’ Ain’t EZ. It all started with one simple idea: “Let’s buy a hot dog cart and give it a shot!” That idea led to a journey filled with unforgettable memories and opportunities we never imagined.

We are blessed with 6 amazing children, 3 beautiful grandchildren, and family is at the heart of everything we do. As our idea grew, so did the opportunity to bring our family along for the journey. You will often see some of our crew helping at events, learning firsthand about hard work, responsibility, and what it means to build something together.

Our goal was simple: serve delicious, loaded, and messy hot dogs that keep people coming back. That’s why we proudly serve Nathan’s Famous 5: 1 beef hot dogs on brioche buns. Then load them up with delicious toppings our customers love. But Doggin’ Ain’t EZ has become so much more than just great food. We’ve met incredible people, made new friends, shared plenty of laughs, and received an unbelievable amount of love and support from our community.

Every purchase, review, recommendation, share, and friendly hello helps our family-owned business continue to grow. We are incredibly grateful for every bit of it. What started as a simple idea has become something we’re proud to share with our family and our community.
